What an afternoon of Irish Cup final action. It was a decider that had it all.

Brilliant goals, a red card controversy, superb goalkeeping, goal-line clearances and finally a thrilling penalty shootout.

Ultimately it was Dungannon Swifts who picked up the silverware for the very first time in their history and the celebrations among the county Tyrone side and their ers will go on for days to come no doubt.

"I grew up in the club and since about three or four years of age my dad was the bar manager and this is just unreal.

"It's such a good feeling. A lot of people have come and gone from the club and a lot have sadly ed away, but their families are still here ing us and it's good to do it for really good people who have been around the Swifts for many years.

"He [Joe McAree] used to brag about finishing fourth, but he never won an Irish Cup!"
