Locals' lingo not up to scratch! 6m6f5t

I have a workmate who has an apartment in Ibiza. He told me that sometimes he is approached by Spanish people looking for assistance and he always responds with his stock phrase ¡No habla español muy bien! One can only imagine the strange looks he receives from locals surprised to find that their Spanish is not up to scratch!

Editor's note: The phrase he should have used is ¡No hablo español muy bien! - I don't speak Spanish very well rather than habla, which implies the person you are talking to doesn't speak it very well!
