Three wines please 274fg

Having lived in Poland for quite a while I have a reasonably good grasp of the language. However, when with some friends in a restaurant they decided to order the Shiraz - and asked for Shiraz, czerwone wino, Shiraz, red wine. The waitress returned with three glasses of house wine as she thought I've said trzy razy, three times, which sounds very like 'Shiraz'. We found that very funny.

The best way to speak second language is to: repeat, repeat and repeat! Trzymaj się, take care.

I've lived in Krakow for over 3 months now and despite my Polish roots, I still make mistakes and have ended up in some rather daft situations!

I live in Krakow, and I often get funny looks when I ask for three of something ... Trzy is awfully difficult to say correctly.
