Unusual ornaments 1nv3q

While visiting our French friends for lunch one day, they were enquiring if we had more or less finished our renovations at our old house in Languedoc. I said: Oui, mais il faut poser des mousquetaires aux fenêtres, yes, but I need to put musketeers on the windows. I quickly realised by the grins on their faces that I should have said moustiquaires for flyscreens at the windows! However, perhaps I would have preferred a few Musketeers ...

When I was little I used to be convinced that the supermarket called Les Trois Mousquetaires meant the three flies! Now I am doing a degree in French, so I have learnt not to mention that little faux pas!
