In this series of short videos a group of children explore the KS1 topic Space.
The themes covered include the Earth’s orbit of the sun, the planets within our solar system and a brief history of space exploration.
The videos are narrated by Maddie Moate with expert input from astrophysicist Dr Becky Smethurst, and each combines live action and animation to explore the topic in a clear, age-appropriate manner.

Children visit a space centre to make discoveries about planet Earth, including its orbit around the sun and what causes day and night.

What is the solar system? video
This video explores the key characteristics of each planet within our solar system.

How do we explore space? video
In this video a group of children learn all about those who have explored space in the past and what they found out.
