Sale's Beaumont to retire and Addison to leave

Sale Sharks forward Josh Beaumont will retire from rugby at the end of the season, while former captain Will Addison is also set to leave the club.
Beaumont, 33, has made 196 appearances for the club after making his debut in 2013.
He went on to make his England debut against the Barbarians in 2015 before being called up to their Six Nations squad the following year, but missed out because of injury.
Addison, 32, made his Sale debut in 2010 and was made skipper ahead of the 2017-18 season.
"I know I'll miss being around the lads every day, and I'll miss the feeling you get on a matchday, playing in front of our amazing ers. But it feels like the right time to finish," Beaumont told the club website., external
"We're competing at the very top end of the league every season now and I'd love to bow out on a high by winning the Premiership."
Addison added:, external "This club gave me the opportunity to become a professional rugby player and change my life.
"I really transformed from boy to man while being part of this incredible club."

Beaumont has had an injury-hit final few seasons for Sale but helped them reach the Premiership final in 2023, when they were eventually defeated by Saracens.
He has featured 10 times for Sale during 2024-25, making eight appearances in the Premiership and a further two appearances in the Champions Cup.
Addison ed Ulster in 2018, where he would spend six years and won five Ireland caps in that time.
The Cumbria-born centre returned to Sale last summer and has played 11 games this season, scoring two tries.
