Hugh Bockenham has impressed over the past two seasons at Cornish Pirates

Gloucester have signed scrum-half Mike Austin and forwards Hugh Bockenham and Josh Basham for the 2025-26 season.

Australian Bockenham, 23, s from Championship side Cornish Pirates, where he has made 42 appearances and scored 12 tries in the past two seasons.

The Sydney-born forward can play at either lock or back-row.

Austin will move to Kingsholm on a permanent deal after a spell on loan from Gloucester's Championship neighbours Hartpury.

He was a replacement in the Premiership Rugby Cup pool-stage win over Exeter before starting their quarter-final loss at Newcastle.

Former London Irish and Newcastle back row Basham s, having most recently played for Japanese side Shimizu Koto Blue Sharks.

He won 10 caps for England Under-20s and played in the 2018 Under-20 World Rugby Championship final against .
