  1. What a way to finishpublished at 00:10 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

The last big fight of 2021 and what a way to sign off!

We'll be back in 2022, and you suspect so will Derek Chisora.

I'll leave you with Michael Emons' big fight report and see you another time!

Parker and his team will be massively encouraged with that performance. Maybe it was the atmosphere five months ago, but he showed huge improvements and is right back in the mix at world title level. For Chisora, he is a true force of nature. A complete individual and wonderful entertainer. But, as Tony Bellew said on the TV broadcast, those kind of fights leave a big mark on a fighter beyond the ring. He will not want to retire but he turns 38 this month and just had a war in his 44th pro fight. It might be time to walk away.

  3. Will Chisora retire?published at 00:02 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Carl Frampton
Former world champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

Ultimately the decision will be Derek's and he doesn't seem to be the character who will want to stop fighting. I think he will fight for as long as he can.

It was an amazing performance by Joseph Parker but still a very good performance by Derek Chisora.

He can still beat some of the top fighters - not the really top guys like the top three or four but the guys in the top 10 with a performance like that he can probably still beat them.

I'd love to see him retire because he doesn't need to do it anymore, but I don't think he will.
