The Hornets are looking up and gunning for a play-off spot, while the Hatters are only heading in one direction unless they can resurrect their season - and sharpish.

From Premier League football nine months ago, Luton Town are staring down the barrel of playing in League One in August.

Their 20th defeat of the season sees the Hatters rooted to the foot of the Championship table and five points adrift of safety, having played a game more than Hull and Cardiff.

It's eight games without a win under Matt Bloomfield and 12 without victory in the league altogether (D3 L9).

Is there any way back from this for Luton?

Today was an opportunity (for Luton).

You're playing your rivals and this is when form and league position becomes not so relevant.

There's that build up, you understand what's expected, but they gave themselves an uphill battle because they conceded so early and that was the last thing Matt Bloomfield would have wanted.

The second half they were better, but the game was almost already gone from them.

I thought Watford were excellent.
