Adam Phillips and David Morgan: Accrington Stanley sign midfielders

Adam Phillips scored 10 goals in 33 games in all competitions for Morecambe and played in their FA Cup defeat by Chelsea last month

Accrington Stanley have signed Southport midfielder David Morgan for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half-year deal and Burnley midfielder Adam Phillips on loan.

Morgan, 26, has spent the past three and a half years at the Sandgrounders.

Phillips, 23, had a loan spell with League Two Morecambe in the first half of the campaign, and has ed until the end of the season.

Both players could feature against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday.
