Scunthorpe sign Southport's Devarn Green and Middlesbrough's Ben Liddle

Ben Liddle's only start for Boro came in the FA Cup against Tottenham this season

Scunthorpe have signed forward Devarn Green from Southport for an undisclosed fee, while midfielder Ben Liddle has ed on loan from Middlesbrough.

Green, 23, arrives on an 18-month deal from the National League North side.

Liddle, 21, who has played twice for Boro's first team, s on loan until the end of the season.

"Ben's done really well this season and had a taste of things against Leeds and Tottenham," Boro head coach Jonathan Woodgate told his club's website.

"He's really earned the right to be involved. This loan is another important step in his development."
