Giannelli Imbula: Stoke City's record g s Lecce in Serie A on loan

Stoke City's record g Giannelli Imbula has ed Serie A side Lecce on a season-long loan.

The 26-year-old midfielder ed Stoke for £18.3m in 2016 and has scored twice in 28 appearances for the club.

His last game for Stoke was on 8 March 2017 and he spent 2017-18 at French side Toulouse and last season at Rayo Vallecano in Spain's La Liga.

Meanwhile, Austria defender Kevin Wimmer, 26, has ed Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron on loan.

Wimmer, who ed Stoke for £18m from Tottenham in 2017 and played 19 times in their subsequent Premier League relegation season, will spend the entire campaign with the Belgian Pro League club.

He spent last season on loan at Hannover as they suffered relegation from the German Bundesliga.
