Phil is forced to take drastic action when Glenda threatens to expose him at his engagement party - but whose side will Ian pick? Alfie struggles to deal with what he witnessed.
Phil comes home from hospital. He’s impressed with Shirley’s party plans, but less pleased when he discovers Glenda’s decided to come and cause fireworks. Phil invites Glenda to R&R. He realises she’s planning to record him saying something incriminating, so smashes her phone before locking her in the office. Phil finally arrives at the engagement party and tells Shirley, Ben and Jay to pack, they’re going to visit Grant. Glenda puts her phone back together and summons Ian to R&R. Glenda and Ian pay Phil a visit, Glenda insists she’s going to tell Shirley everything and Ian will back her up. However, Ian’s adamant he saw no-one with Phil during his heart attack, hoping he and Phil are now even. As Phil, Shirley and the boys drive away, Glenda tells Roxy Phil stole her money on Ronnie’s wedding day.
Kat doesn’t know Alfie saw her kiss Michael, but his bad mood makes her uneasy. At the engagement party, Michael challenges people to darts, winning, amongst other things, a kiss with Vanessa. Alfie bets his £1000 debt to Michael, double or quits. Michael deliberately throws badly but Alfie does too, he’s not a charity case.
Janine and Whitney decide working at R&R would be perfect for them – they’d be paid to spend every evening in a club. They gatecrash Phil’s party to ask for jobs. Roxy refuses to consider employing them, Whitney’s rude to her but Phil arrives and backs Roxy up. Janine phones David then tells Whitney David called them – he and a friend want to take them out. Whitney’s worried that David will expect sex, Janine insists Whitney doesn’t have to do anything.
Vanessa’s not happy when Jodie announces her engagement to unemployed, penniless Darren and tries to persuade Max to give Darren his old job back.
