Kiana has a form of Spinal muscular atrophy. Will she get access to a drug that could have amazing effects on her condition?

30 August 2017

While there is no cure for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a promising new drug has been approved for use in America.

40% of patients treated with Spinraza showed an improvement in their ‘motor milestones’, such as head control, sitting, ability to kick in supine position, rolling, crawling, standing and walking.

Charities are now petitioning for the drug to become available in the UK.
