Instructor's ion 'makes diving accessible'

Two men with disabilities have ed forces with the only instructor who would help them achieve what others had told them was "impossible".

Shaun Gash, who is paraplegic, and Salim Patel, who is blind, have been training to go diving off the coast of North-West England in the summer.

The pair, who are both from Lancashire, have been working with Mohamed Mokhtar Elazab, who said he wanted to help them because he ired their determination.

Mr Gash said the coach was "the one that instils the confidence in what you can do".
