Thomas Oko and Nnenna Chima were both found dead at the flat on 29 April

A man who was found dead along with a woman at a flat in Leeds had a stab wound to his chest, an inquest has heard.

Thomas Oko, 32, from Bradford, was found at the house in Dawlish Road, Osmondthorpe, on 29 April, with a kitchen knife by his side.

Nnenna Chima, 28, a nurse, was also found dead at the property. Police are treating her death as suspicious but are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

At Wakefield Coroner's Court, coroner Oliver Langstaff adjourned the inquest pending a police investigation.

The inquest heard a postmortem examination had taken place and the provisional cause of death was a stab wound.

Mr Langstaff said as his death was violent and unnatural, there was a legal need for an inquest.

He said he was suspending the investigation while police investigations into his death, and the death of Ms Chima, are completed.
