About This Event

The orchestra’s second evening in Bilbao includes two works from Elgar. Sevillana, composed shortly after the break-up of his engagement when Elgar was only 26, and Cockaigne Overture – a musical portrait of Edwardian London.

In between, Walton’s haunting Viola Concerto performed by our Principal Viola Steven Burnard.
