In this snap-shot survey of some of the exciting new work emanating from Reykjavík and the far north, the BBC SSO is conducted and presented by principal guest conductor Ilan Volkov, who is also chief conductor and music director of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.

To be recorded for broadcast in ‘Hear and Now’, BBC Radio 3’s Saturday late-night contemporary music programme, scheduled for 3 January 2015.
