Concert Information:

The Palau de la Música in Valencia, a venue renowned for its wonderful acoustics, provides the atmospheric setting for this BBC Philharmonic concert.

After Walton’s colourful and energetic overture ‘Scapino’, the orchestra are ed by renowned German virtuoso Julia Fischer for Mendelssohn’s lyrical Violin Concerto.

The second half is a fantastic opportunity to hear all sections of the BBC Philharmonic at their finest, in Bela Bartok’s fiery showcase, his Concerto for Orchestra.
